wedding cake taking photography quite seriously again. i’ve been thinking about it as my plan b when i get tired of the day job. i don’t see myself doing project management until i’m 50 years old

one thing i’ve been considering is events photography, with weddings at the top of my list. got the chance when Sunshot was invited to take photos of Ab’s wedding last Saturday. so when Nesty asked if I want to go, no second thoughts about it, I immediately said yes.

i never thought how hard it is, but after almost 7 hours of taking pictures (600 plus!) … from the hotel, to the church, then at the reception, i am now very much convinced that doing wedding photography is a very serious job. i guess Os and Jayjay also agree with me. you’re documenting one of the most important events in a person’s life. you have to be creative, alert and always ready to capture that once in a lifetime moment. di pwede ang babagal-bagal. dapat palagi rin may dalang extra batteries and CF (SD). at dapat at least dalawa kayo, you cannot be in all the good places all the time, unless na lang kaya mong magteleport instantly. and yes, you have to be fit … ang hirap magdala ng mabigat na camera at lens ng 7hrs ha!

kahit mahirap at nakakapagod, this is something that i can do again. practice makes it perfect … ika nga nila.

goodbye summer

family went swimming in olongapo a few weeks back, our last hurrah of the 2008 summer. with SCTex, getting there is now much much easier and faster. and i love the view … kung meron lang snow dito sa pinas, akala mo nasa North America or Europe ka na. unfortunately, i wasnt able to take any pictures, driver e. taking pictures while driving, bad combination … di bale, meron pa naman siguro next time

sabi sa news tataas daw ang diesel ng 10 pesos, isang bagsakan! gusto nila magkagulo? i really need to start waking up very early para walang traffic, mas tipid sa gas, sure pa na makakalibre ako sa parking.

time to revisit that deregulation law.

Taal, the smallest volcano in the world.

i’ve seen this one so many times from Tagaytay, but this is the first time i’ve set my foot on it and have seen it up close. being there makes you realize and appreciate the beauty of the Philippines (naks!)

love it …

… the train system is so efficient. even coming and going to the airport is no problem at all. as long as the place i’m going to is near an mtr station … mararating ko yan!

… shopping !!! sale sign anywhere you go … name brands from US, Europe and Asia … street markets … outlets in tung chung (just bought a new adidas running shoes there!)
