Taal, the smallest volcano in the world.
i’ve seen this one so many times from Tagaytay, but this is the first time i’ve set my foot on it and have seen it up close. being there makes you realize and appreciate the beauty of the Philippines (naks!)
i’ve been wanting to go trekking on this one for so long, so when Cynthia asked me about a month ago if I want to go with them and Sunny company’s visitors from Canada and Indonesia, I immediately said yes. we were supposed to go the other route and go to the main crater, but the group was quite big (19!) that we were not allowed by the director. even if, the experience is still something to remember. one more place in the Lonely Planet that i’ve been to!
after Pinatubo, i thought Taal volcano would be so easy. i was wrong !!!! lakas pa ng loob ko, no horse for me. but after about quarter of the way, with the heat, horse poop on the trail and with the horse guides (with the horse) telling us that it is still very far and kept on pestering us, i gave in and rented a horse. hahahaha. kung mahirap kumuha ng picture habang nagtetrek, mas mahirap pala pag nakasakay sa kabayo …
