I can’t imagine celebrating New Year without the usual Pinoy way of welcoming the year … the young and the young once banging on the palanggana and tooting those torotots and of course, firecrackers and fireworks, the Pinoy kind (from Bocaue) and the imported (dragon fireworks) everywhere. All that noise to ward off the evil spirits
Ingay, usok, amoy-pulbura … New Year is not the same without them.
And of course, there’s always food on New Year’s Day :
