august 21
I know its already August 22 but there are still some things that I want to say about August 21.
11 years old lang ako ng binaril si Ninoy sa tarmac ng Manila International Airport. 1st year highschool pa lang ako.
Ngayon, 23 years after, marami ng nangyari sa Pilipinas.
But I always wonder, what if Ninoy did not die on that day? Would our lives be any different than it is now? Ninoy’s death was the turning point in our country’s history. It was suppose to change us … as a nation and as an individual. But have we really change for the better? Madumi pa rin ang elections natin. Corruption is alive and kicking … mas malala pa nga yata e. Traffic discipline is almost non-existent. Brain drain is being encountered in the IT and Health Services industry. More than half of the country is living below the poverty line. Mataas pa rin ang crime rate. At marami pang iba.
