field trip

Due to boredom and computer and internet problems last Saturday (June 17), I decided to go somewhere I’ve never been to before … Malabon Zoo.

Compared to other zoos I’ve been to, here in the Philippines and out of the country, this one is very small … at tama nga ang sabi nila, likod bahay lang. At medyo weird, kasi nasa gitna sya ng residential area sa Malabon :) Pero kahit maliit sya, marami ring hayop sa loob. Merong arapaima, bears, orangutans (Assunta ang pangalan ng isa), monkeys, isang lion at napakaraming tigers. Mahirap lang kumuha ng pictures, kasi puro nasa kulungan ang mga hayop. Buti na lang meron isang glass enclosure ang mga tigers … ay, picture galore! :)

Anyways, sana makareceive pa sila ng maraming donations from generous individuals at mga companies, para naman tumaba-taba ng konti ang mga tigers at bears :)

actually na-depress ako when I went to Malabon zoo. the cages are really too small for the animals and some of them are already showing signs of psychological trauma witnessed in animals in captivity. lalo ako na depress when someone told me na mas maganda na daw ang malabon kaysa those in Manila zoo. Worse off pa daw sila. sigh

naku cherry, sabi sa yo likod bahay e … liliit nga ng cage. buti nga meron pa isang malaking enclosure yung mga tigers e, naku kung hindi baka nagpatayan na sila dun :( sana nga they can get more funding from generous individuals para mapataba naman nila yung mga animals at sana mapalakihan nila yung place.

manila zoo? naku, 20yrs ago pa nung huli ako napunta dun. :)
