pasko sa Policarpio St.

after hearing and reading about it for years, i finally had a chance to see the Christmas lights at Policarpio St. in Mandaluyong last night.

the Santa Claus House … daming Santa !!!

this is my favorite. house covered in lights … pati garden nila.

Ang ganda naman ng mga lightshows…I am sure it’s a major tourist destination this christmas. The electric bills must be sky high.

Hi Major Tom … if I remember it right, according to an interview, the electric bill of the houseowner last year was almost 200thousand. grabe no?

Cecille December 7th, 2005 at 8:59 pm

Can I use one or two of the photos for an article I might send to a newspaper in Saipan?

Rick Alberto December 20th, 2005 at 8:58 pm

What are the viewing days and hours?

Cecille December 22nd, 2005 at 12:21 am

Hi Rick … thanks for dropping by. The street is open Fri-Sat-Sun, 7-10pm. :)

It’s ok to use the photo. Which one do you prefer so I can send a larger copy to you?

Rick Alberto December 22nd, 2005 at 9:42 am

Thanks, Cecille for allowing me to use your photos. I chose the 7th and 11th photos. I did send them already to the newspaper, of which I’m its correspondent in Manila. I made an article on Policarpio. I acknowledged your photos with “Photos courtesy of Cecille.” Sorry I didn’t have your family name. Best regards.

Policarpio street is at mandaluyoung city, phils. If you’re coming from EDSA, you can either take Boni ave exit or Shaw Blvd. From Boni Ave, follow the jeepneys going to Kalentong or Gabbys but make a right turn at P. Cruz Street. There you will find Policarpio st. From Shaw Blvd, make a left turn at acacia lane then a right at Ortigas ave and a left at P.Cruz st.
