holiday economics
it will only work if the people have time to plan their ‘holiday’, if the weather permits and most of all, if the people have money.first, plan … our ‘beloved president’ announced the ‘holiday’ only last thursday night (the first question most of us asked last friday was ‘uy totoo ba, wala raw pasok sa monday?’) they already came out with the announcement about a month ago that june 13 will not be a holiday due to the numerous requests malacanang received from the employers. but because of the pressure and the heat the president is taking from all fronts (because of that taped conversation), bawiin ba ang announcement??? at tama bang sabihin pa na ‘holiday economics’ ang dahilan? obviously, hindi na makakapagplano ang mga tao para magbakasyon no????
second, the weather. i guess summer is back? i think the rains took a detour and forgot that it is suppose to pass by our country at this time of the year. its so goddamn hot this past 2 days that it feels like it is the height of the summer again.
third, money. sweldo na ba? for most of the labor force in this country, sweldo is the 15th and the 30th. so, obviously, walang perang uubusin at lulustayin ang mga tao ngayon.
obviously, the only thing working for this unplanned ‘holiday’ is the weather.
